Revamping Your Wardrobe While On a Budget

Recently, I've gone through my wardrobe and I realized that I am not happy with it. Some things I love, but most I loathe. I decided that I need a wardrobe re-do. Last week, we talked about finding your personal style. Now that you've followed the steps to find what you feel most comfortable in, it's time to go shopping!

Now, I am in the process of saving for something really huge (more on that later), so I had to think about how I would revamp my closet and still be able to save.

First, I made a shopping list of all of the things I wanted. Being a minimalist and all, most of the items on my list are basics. So, I divide my list into what I think I'd wear constantly and things that may see the light of day only a few times. My rule when shopping is always to consider quality when it's something you want to have forever. Basic tees and jeans are always going to be appropriate in any season, at least for me; this is where I splurge. Items like cropped tops and slogan tees have a limit amount of wears on them. This is where I save. Purchase them from fast-fashion stores like H&M.

Next, I set a budget. How much do you think you need total? Add everything up and that's your shopping budget. Once you've created your budget, you can always use sites like Ebates and retailmenot for cash back and discount codes, respectably, on online orders. You can also shop around for the best prices for popular items.

I hope these tips help you save money but also stay stylish.
